Alex Yuschik is an assistant professor of mathematics and a writer.

As a kid, I wanted to grow up to be Tintin. As an adult, I am the bluster of Captain Haddock mixed with the wonder and scholarly indignation of Professor Calculus. Life plans include learning to fly a seaplane, telling stories, and adventuring around the world. My winsome sidekick is a cat named Kana, and I am perpetually solving exciting mysteries, such as “what are the many ways magicians trick death?”, “how did I end up with so much fountain pen ink?”, and “where’s that acorn squash recipe?”

I do math during the day and I write at night. I just like making stuff, whether it’s out of letters or numbers. I hope you enjoy reading it.
